November 19, 2025:
Soroptimist International Bangalore (SIB), in collaboration with World of Women India (WOW), continued its Health & Hygiene Initiative at Karnataka Public School, Doddanekhundi, for the fourth consecutive year.

As part of the programme, awareness sessions on menstrual health were conducted and 158 menstrual kits were distributed to students. This year, WOW piloted biodegradable period panties — a sustainable, high-quality solution designed to last up to three years — offering safe and eco-friendly menstrual care options.

The initiative was supported by Anupama Gupta, with 158 kits. The health session was led by Dr. Seema, a gynaecologist, and organised by an SIB member, Shashikala Menon, who has consistently engaged with and supported the students.

Beyond awareness and kit distribution, SIB continues to assist the school with toilet maintenance and hygiene infrastructure, ensuring dignity, safety, and comfort for every girl.
