Two toilet-cum-bathrooms built for government school

August 28, 2017:

Team SIB built two toilets-cum-bathrooms for its adopted government school near Kanakapura, Ramanagara district. Gifts of water filters, stone dining benches, a computer and printer and sanitary pads were donated.

President Anuradha addressed the school in the assembly on lessons related to learning and growth. She spoke about books and the importance of reading. Sudha Jalan donated a number of books.

SIB followed the program with a lunch, clothes as well as instructions on learning and gender sensitisation for the students.

Members Anita Belogodu and Sudha Manandi addressed the students who dealt with issues related to self-defence, when faced with molestation and abuse.

SIB identified five girls who lack good toilets at home and visited fields for defecation, agreeing that their parents should be addressed for cooperation.
