The Friendship Club Network

The Friendship Club Network of Soroptimist International Bangalore has partnered with Soroptimist International Burdwan to support Project UNMESH, an initiative that creates pathways for street-connected and vulnerable children to access education, health, and opportunities for a better future.

The objective is simple yet transformative: to help children move from the streets into structured learning environments where they can develop the knowledge, confidence, and life skills needed to become self-reliant citizens.

Through regular learning support, enrolment in government schools, yoga and wellness activities, mentoring, and access to basic necessities such as uniforms and seasonal clothing, the project aims to:

• Improve access to quality education (SDG 4)

• Reduce the long-term impact of poverty through learning and skill development (SDG 1)

• Promote health, wellbeing, and emotional resilience (SDG 3)

• Create greater inclusion and equal opportunities for disadvantaged children (SDG 10)

Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and participate fully in society. Project UNMESH is a step towards ensuring that vulnerable young people are not defined by their circumstances but empowered by their potential.
