SIB’s first permanent Vocational Training Centre

The swirling autumn breezes of August ushered in an extraordinary month of Independence forSIB. It opened its first vocational training centre in JP.Nagar, near Dalmiya circle, kindly offeredby member Sudha Manandi. After some initial classes, there are plans to shift to a largertraining centre in HSR Layout, which will be offered by past President Anuradha Pradip.Tailoring, soap making, candle making and other skills by SIB members as well as socialvolunteers will be offered to train women, so that they can be empowered and take their livesforward. The first classes will hopefully begin by the end of August.
